A biostimulator is not a filler. Rather than sitting under the skin to occupy space, it triggers a controlled healing response that prompts your own fibroblasts to lay down new collagen. The product itself is gradually metabolised; what remains is tissue you built.
That mechanism is why the timeline is different. There is little to see in the first weeks. Structure returns across the following three to six months, at a pace slow enough that it reads as looking rested rather than treated — which is precisely the point for patients who do not want a visible before and after.

Step 01
Planning the series
The provider assesses where structure has been lost and in what order it should be restored. Biostimulators are almost always planned as a course, so the full number of sessions and the cost are confirmed before the first one.
Step 02
Treatment sessions
Product is placed in the deeper layers with a needle or cannula. Sessions are spaced four to six weeks apart. Mild swelling or bruising is normal for a few days, and with Sculptra you may be asked to massage the area at home.
Step 03
Watching it build
Very little changes in the first month. Collagen accumulates across three to six months, and the result is reviewed at that point to decide whether the series is complete or a further session is worthwhile.

How is a biostimulator different from filler?
