What it is
How HA fillers work at Annaré.
Hyaluronic acid is a sugar your body already produces, which is part of why HA fillers behave so predictably: they integrate with tissue, hold water, and can be dissolved if a result is not what you wanted. That reversibility is the reason they remain the standard for precise, shape-driven work.
Proportion drives every plan here. Lips are assessed against the lower face, cheeks against the orbital rim and jaw, chin against profile. Treating one area in isolation is how faces start to look treated — so the consultation covers what should be filled, what should be left alone, and what will make the biggest difference for the least product.
Filler is also the right answer for lines that a neuromodulator cannot reach. Smile lines and nasolabial folds are usually a volume problem rather than a movement one, and respond to structural support in the mid-face more reliably than to injecting the fold itself.

What to expect
From consultation to result.
Step 01
Consultation and proportion
The provider assesses your face at rest and in motion, then talks through which areas actually need product and which do not. You will know the plan, the volume, and the cost before treatment begins.
Step 02
Treatment
Topical numbing is applied, and most HA fillers also contain lidocaine. Product is placed with a needle or cannula depending on the area. You will see the result the same day, with swelling on top of it.
Step 03
Settling and review
Swelling peaks in the first 48 hours and resolves over one to two weeks. Bruising, if it happens, is usually gone within a week. The final result is assessed at two weeks, when any small adjustment can be made.
Questions
Lip & Facial Fillers — frequently asked.
Does lip filler hurt?
Most patients describe it as very manageable. Topical numbing is applied first and the fillers used contain lidocaine, so the area becomes progressively more comfortable as treatment proceeds.
How long will I be swollen?
Lips swell the most and look their largest in the first 24 to 48 hours. Most of that settles within three to five days, and the true result is visible at two weeks. Plan around any event with at least two weeks to spare.
Will my lips look overdone?
Not with a conservative plan. Volume is chosen in proportion to your lower face, and it is always possible to add more at a later visit — the reverse is far less pleasant. If you want a subtle change, say so and treatment will be dosed for it.
Can filler be dissolved?
Yes. Hyaluronidase breaks down hyaluronic acid filler and can be used to correct, reduce, or fully remove a previous result. Annaré treats dissolving as a service in its own right, including for filler placed elsewhere.
How long does filler last?
Between six and eighteen months, depending on the product and the area. Lips and other mobile areas metabolise product faster than structural areas such as the chin or jawline.
What should I avoid afterwards?
Skip strenuous exercise, alcohol, and heat for 24 hours, and avoid dental work and facial treatments for two weeks. Sleeping slightly elevated for the first night helps with swelling.
Is filler right for my smile lines?
Often, but not always by injecting the fold directly. Deepening nasolabial folds are frequently caused by mid-face volume loss, so supporting the cheek gives a more natural outcome than filling the line itself.
